(in which we get our first client testimonial)

Yesterday I was eating my lunch and watching Star Trek (as one does), and I got this text from a client: “I used CMObot to write a customer journey strategy for our B2B sales team yesterday and it is blowing minds. I just want you to know that makes me so happy – and relieves SO MUCH stress.”
This comes from our first paid client – one who’s actually been paying the full $1,000/month price for two cycles now, since the original beta offering. She’s the CMO of like a 10-person, $3MM business – pretty much our ideal client profile (ICP). In fact, last month she told us that she ended a contract with a $4,000/month marketing agency and now uses YouBots instead.
Building out a complex software product like this has been really hectic, really challenging, and full of moments where I wanted to tear my hair out. I don’t see that changing anytime soon, but feedback like this from clients is a great sign that we’re on the right track.
As a founder you’re so into the weeds with your product that it’s easy to get preoccupied with all the things that don’t work, and forget about all the things that do work – the reason you’re building it in the first place. Little notes like this are like water stations along a marathon course, providing a refreshing burst of clarity when needed.
(Speaking of the second worst thing in the world, who would run for 26.2 miles at a time? Couldn’t be me.)
Anyway, happy Friday, everyone – up here in Wisconsin we have warmer weather coming, snow melting, and later sunsets with time change this weekend. Everything’s coming up Milhouse!
